PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers will gain access to another batch of games on December 19, 2023. GTA 5 is leading the pack as the biggest name, allowing players who have so far not experienced Rockstar Games’ latest crime epic to play through the campaign ahead of GTA 6 – though it’s unlikely that there will be much of a connection you’ll need to be aware of.

Sony has more than just that to offer, though. Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is Team Ninja’s take on Final Fantasy, MotoGP 23 is a fantastic pick for speed junkies, fans of Soulslikes will be well-served with Salt and Sacrifice, and enjoyers of heavy metal will absolutely vibe with the rhythm shooter Metal: Hellsinger, which is basically a more musically-inclined Doom.

PS Plus is back with the final offerings of 2023.

GLHF crowned Metal: Hellsinger the best shooter of 2022 with Kirk McKeand describing it thusly:

You’re a demon whose soul is music and fury, and you have to fight your way into the pits of hell. No more context is needed. Sitting somewhere between Devil May Cry and Doom, Metal: Hellsinger asks you to battle to the beat. Featuring tracks from metal legends, every single stage is designed to be played and replayed, learned and mastered, until you enter that perfect flow state and the music and fury enter your own soul, too.

If you give any of these new games a try, then it really should be this one.

There is also the unforgiving 2D title Moonscars, celebrated platformer Mega Man 11, the mecha versus kaiju game Gigabash, action adventure Grime, Tinykin, Prodeus, Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun: Dragonfall, and Shadowrun: Hong Kong.

Premium subscribers will obtain access to a few additional classic titles as well. You can find the full catalog on the PS Blog.
